The Pull of A Friend

The Pull of A Friend

A Poem by Radad Ibn Nasir
"

Stop changing what doesn't matter...

"

The Pull of a Friend

I trace you by your laughter,

Carrying you along

Our travels sing
and unravel song.

The face of reality

Is colored infinitely

Here black and white

Are backgrounds cynically.

Who holds sadness?

But has rough edges?

Who drives into madness?

From the topmost ledges?

Those tears that seep

Down the shining slope

From far away sheep

Cover us in hope.

Wear this life

Like a single cloak

Bear the strife

Pulling your rope.

For some reason, I keep repeating this part of your poem. This is one of the more beautiful arrangement of words that I've come across on here.

Hope you're well my friend.

Very creative! My fave lines
"I trace you by your laughter,
Carrying you along
Our travels sing
and unravel song."
A deep meaning and done but with a unique twist to it. Good stuff!
