"Rose Quartz"

A poem inspired by the gemstone rose quartz.

The dominant, the complacent, and the selfish ones are all you can see

With head down you break pace from the crowd and buckle down on reverie

Lost in darkness the mind cannot bear, that life is unjust, cruel and unfair

Awaken the heart, awaken the breath, you sit and pray till there’s nothing left

Sitting there in agony you remember a woman that you used to see

She had placed in your hand her tried and true, to you it was just a stone and too woo-woo

The name reverberated in your mind, that gift of rose quartz you had to find

Searching your drawers and ceiling to floors you find it behind the table near the front door

The soft pink tone vibrates the heart, stirring in you the hope for a new start

You thank your past love and look to the heavens, sitting down to pray it is 11:11

Feeling pure love coming from Heaven & Earth, witness now your process of rebirth

A gem of beauty and a gem of love, peace descends into your heart as though a dove

The pain it leaves, it melts and flows. Your heart opens up and is now aglow

With love so pure and love so true, you feel so refreshed and feel so new

Open armed you greet your new life, promising to never again succumb to such strife.
