Yume Mitai Dakedo

Yume Mitai Dakedo

A Poem by Reika
"

It's a short thing I wrote on impulse and ended up wanting to save and revise.

"

Awakening the sun,

Open your eyes,

Close your dreams.

Tomorrow's cries are not worth today's worries.

But rather follow the memories

And experience banks

With your overflowing accounts,

Counting for nothing except your everyday pains,

Who gave you the cure?

No one?

Who subscribed you those pills?

Do not take them.

Nor drink the water;

Screaming dirty brown;

Leaving stains across your beautiful skin...

Here and there.

Look to the left and you'll find a forest

But look to the right and you'll find a brook in a small meadow.

The pedals float around you

And you catch one

On your finger tip.

As it begins to dance with the wind

You ask for one last sympathetic gesture,

You give it a mere glance,

Before it disappears into those arms

Yume Mitai Dakedo...

.....

This is as real as it gets.
