My Mind in the Middle of the Night

My Mind in the Middle of the Night

A Poem by Reika
"

A few nights ago, I woke up in the middle of the night, and just automatically started writing these things down. I don't know how, it was just on my mind, so I wrote it. I finished it in about 4 minutes. There were originally 12 lines, but I took four of

"

Paint the Portrait (The old dusty window)

The Candle's been lit
(And it lights up my world)

It is yours to keep
(my greatest mystery)

You're singing in your sleep
(I will listen forever)

Behind the door (my crooked median discerning spirit and soul)

Puncture my core
(spark my imagination and let my mind soar)

Take me to the dance floor
(my heart is a stage and you stole the show)

And leave me begging for more
(what are you waiting for?)

Author's Note

Reika
I've had people tell me it was odd, pretty, and strange. Well, I've found that my subconscious is strange and I did write this as soon after waking up from a strangely inspiring dream, so there you go, strange, odd, pretty or whatever you'd like to call it. =)

The Superconscience, the conscience that fills your subconscience with meaning of the universe. Then you subconscience tries to give it to you in broken up forms, through dreaming. In which your dreams needed to be explained, and expressed in ways it normally wasn't so the message can be clear. Your passion for writing is strong, and keep with it. This is well writen, and I like it alot. Good job.

this is fairly incredible, dude. Wow..i honestly think this might be my favorite thing (besides hikari) that you've written. This has such an old-school movie/80's feel to it..you know what it reminds me of? im probably wrong..but i see some sexual activity in it.

this is so enjoyable to read, too. like, i couldnt stop reading it if i had already started over..i really like the fifth and sixth lines..this is fantastic. It's like, i dont want to see it waste away on the internet..i want to see this go somewhere, where it will gain the recognition that it needs. This should be published somewhere. At least in a magazine...anywhere. This is incredible.

Well, it is strange, but quite mystifyingly cool. Great job.
