Alone and cold

Alone and cold

A Poem by Heather Phelps

Sitting here,
alone in the dark,
no light seeping in,
no break from this blackness,
no reprieve,
from this pain.
This lonliness stabbing,
this abandonment killing,
I never wanted,
to feel this way,
nor have I wanted,
to make anyone,
feel the way I do,
when I fall asleep.

very emotional and sad...
a peek into your life, so intense
nicely written, even though it's so sad, it really is a great poem.

Yeah I relate for sure. That frustrated moment of angst and uneasiness you feel when you lay down to sleep and are alone with your thoughts. It's a scary moment. People are hurt by you and you have hurt other people and that aftermath of emotion doesn't leave as quickly as the people who brought them on do. good write.
