Somethings Old, Somethings New

Somethings Old, Somethings New

A Poem by Heather Phelps

This life so old

This life so new

The same thing every day

Yet always something new

New days

New years

New friends

New family

Old friends

Old family

Old routines

Old thoughts

Why must things

Clash so much?

Why can't things

Stay the same?

Things were perfect

way back when.

But things never last.

Our life has grown

Our life has evolved

Our life never to be the same
