The Trudge

I want to find,
a better place in my mind.
A place I've been running from for so long,
that I've lost track of time.
I need it now though,
I've seen too much bad.
I've been in the dark too long,
I've started to go mad.

I'm turning back to light,
to that better place in my mind.
No longer running to hide,
I'm gonna trudge from the dark,
to the light this time.

Author's Note

If we're going the wrong way, we always have the choice to turn around.
Even if it's just for your last moments, and even if you've spent so much time in the dark, let your last sight be facing towards the Light.
