Beautiful MindA Poem by Reform69RIding on Amtrak I decided to write what happened“Beauty Is
Everywhere; One Just Has To Look” Black
canvas before me A yellow circle
appears Yet,
disappears in the blink of an eye Too fast
for my eyes to register Yet, the image
is burned into my mind A blue
streak passes before me The hue
of a watery wonder Leaving
its mark on my once blank mind A green
streak Like
spring in full swing Red,
Purple, Pink, Streaks,
Stills, Smears, All passing
my widened eyes Painting
my mind with color I gather
each thought Each lone
memory of color And mesh
them together Which I
project onto the black canvas Me, the
painter My brush,
my mind Me alone,
envisioning the beautiful scene The
wonderful mural I have created Fills me
with joy and happiness I stare
at my creation As the
black canvas housing my mural Slowly
disappears And the
sun rises The light
of the new morning creeps as dawn ascends Casting
away the darkness that was my canvas I lean
back in my chair Feel the
rocking of the train and close my eyes A smile
tugging at my lips With
peace of mind I drift back to my mural And immerse
myself once again in its beauty © 2012 Reform69 |
