It's The Games You PlayA Poem by Reform69Call me a fool, but this is a true story. *shrug* not much I can do but move forward haha. That hurt the most The physical feeling we shared Harmless mutual attraction Until my feelings festered You sat me down “We need to talk” “I just have a physical attraction” You said, and I relented Bandaging the festering wound I moved on, however Your actions shifted You became a tick Clinging to me with desperate need “We need to talk” “I have feelings for you” You said, yet I brushed you off, believing to have moved on You wallowed on the ground And in that moment I realized My mistake, not a tick But a ladybug Bringing me joy I accepted And reopened the wound And for a time we were content Enjoying where we stood It wouldn’t last Your actions shifted once again Left me in the dark Blindly groping for something That was long gone I was a forgotten toy An obsolete console “We need to talk” “I thought if I ignored you, you would get over it” You said I gave a sharp retort, yet Once again I relented Bandaging the now infected wound Looking forward I put on my Majora’s mask My precious facade One of many that I have acquired over time It’s the games you play Because at the end of the day Im up still thinking about you
