Mother Earth

Mother Earth

A Poem by WindSong

Mother Earth

She etches the beauty of nature

Along the corridor of time.

I am unto her earth

A leaf upon a clinging vine.

I feel her subtle essence

In her gentle breeze.

I touch her ever so softly,

As she brushes across me tenderly.

Breathe in and hold each breath of her scent.

Savor her taste upon the buds of your tongue,

As she thrives in the quiet before dawn

Breathing together as one.

Imagination 101 said it best...couldn't help but see her review...breathtaking...literally....took my breath away...
every word, line, stanza floated my spirit along...It all felt so purrfect and surreal
Everything felt so tender and loving.
Some really beautiful, original wording
""corridor of time", "brushes across me", "hold each breath of her scent"
loved it Windsong....loved it

What a lovely poem... gentle and soft... may I say "old fashioned?"... or "old fashioned style"... yes, that's better... I like it.
