Summer's Last Rose

Summer's Last Rose

A Poem by WindSong

Summer's Last Rose

A summer breeze on an autumn wind

The essence of thee ebbs with the tide

Winds brush lightly upon my soul

My heart weeps!

The sea winds still blow

A flame burns on the edge of time

By a memoir left for thee

Love!

An elusive butterfly

Etched by mystique and intrigue

Our paths crossed by destiny

A summer breeze on an autumn wind

With summer's last rose by the sea

Thank you for your lovely comment!
There is an enchanted depth in your words... the images that suggest so much more in this movement of seasons... Destiny can bring about the brightest visions on the winds of time.
