So Long Ago

So Long Ago

A Poem by WindSong

So Long Ago

A glimmering diamond

A kiss

A cut of passion

Bestowed upon my soul

Your lips pressed gently

Upon my cheek

Warm and tender

So long ago

A loving embrace

Forever lingers deep in me

The sun dips, slips slowly away

Dripping across a shade of gold

A lovely season in the midst

Glistening in the sunlit haze

With a slight and sultry

Summer wind

My heart is melting

Breathing in the scent of you

In the afterglow within

your poems read as if a sigh - soft and flowing - always so well crafted and pleasurable to read - the almost lingering rhyme added a little beat to it too - nice!
