So Long Ago

So Long Ago

A Poem by WindSong

So Long Ago

A glimmering diamond

A kiss

A cut of passion

Bestowed upon my soul

Your lips pressed gently

Upon my cheek

Warm and tender

So long ago

A loving embrace

Forever lingers deep in me

The sun dips, slips slowly away

Dripping across a shade of gold

A lovely season in the midst

Glistening in the sunlit haze

With a slight and sultry

Summer wind

My heart is melting

Breathing in the scent of you

In the afterglow within

To think and ponder of all that was once breathtaking, and as long as those tender and sweet memories cross our mind, the scent forever lingers.
Just beautiful.

Each line is a treasure of this love.. soft touches.. glimmers of sunlight.. and that scent.. lingering.. I remember once when a girlfriend had worn my coat, the fragrance just connected me to her so quickly, even when she was over a thousand miles away. Your words glow..

Such cuddled words that soft display love in verb, pressed to the thought of love in human nature...good stuff
