Summer's Last Rose

Summer's Last Rose

A Poem by WindSong

Summer's Last Rose

A summer breeze

On an autumn wind,

The essence of thee

Ebbs with the tide,

Winds brush lightly

Upon my soul;

My heart weeps-

The sea winds still blow:

A flame burns

On the edge of time,

A memoir left for thee:

Love,

An elusive butterfly,

Etched

By mystique and intrigue:

Our paths crossed

By destiny,

A summer breeze

On an autumn wind,

With summer's last rose

By the sea.
