Winds of Summer

Winds of Summer

A Poem by WindSong

A lady in a white linen dress

Observes a butterfly as it flits away.

She gathers all the prettiest flowers

From the warm enchanting month of May.

Though the willows in the meadow weep,

And cool winds in the garden blow;

The soft and mellow winds of summer

Embrace her there before they go.

Falling leaves drift swiftly by

As summer clings to autumn's trees,

And caresses those who fall in love

In a warm and gentle breeze.

Very touching, for a moment I was thinking of standing a field in Ireland, don't ask me why. It's just been on my mind. The last stanza was just so very beautiful and touching... Two young people falling in love on a beautiful summers day!! Couldn't be more perfect.
