Fading Pathways

Fading Pathways

A Poem by WindSong

Fading Pathways

I fall limp in the arms of summer

Caught by the limbs of a willow tree

Showers of softly falling petals

Drip along the garden's path to me

Oh how the pretty, fragrant flowers

Show off their delicate and fanciful blooms

While lovers embrace passionately by

On lingering summer afternoons

Soon the trees shall be a flame

In autumn's golden hue

Their leaves falling on fading pathways

Drifting in the winds to you
