Sister Dear

Sister Dear

A Poem by Reflections
"

Loss of my beloved sister.

"

Sister Dear

Her loss has plagued me,

In graphic detail my thoughts un-free,

I picture her lying there, blood from her ear,

My eyes blurred with tears.

For just a moment, I see her breathe,

But no, a false reality I choose to believe,

But years later, I still greave.

I take the blame, where there is none to give,

Learning to cope........learning to live.

And still to this day, when I find myself near,

I visit the grave of my sister dear, should I stand there long enough, in the quiet unknown,

I can see her standing near.....all alone.

If just for a moment, I might see her once more,

A soft embrace, for a heart tore,

And in that moment, I would sing her lullaby,

Hush now sweet sister, it's time to sleep,

As I hang my head and weep,

Hands in face.....I cry.......
