To have been someoneA Poem by Theresa ColellaBasically a short poem about a wife abuser. To have been someone.
He never killed. He never made blood. He has little fortune, now, to have been, Someone with great riches, Some who had known him, How his stories began
Of a young man once loved, Of a child that laughed, To a man that drunk, Liquor on his breath. To a husband that chaffed, Who’s just asking for death.
For at resigning of his sin, To see his hand that those hit of hate To glaring at the pale body, Who had been once so beautiful, to now, Cold, unfortunate woman of cruel fate
