It's Raining Again

It's Raining Again

A Poem by Jonathan Daniel Reese

The first drop of rain, yeah I can deal with

Its not a pain cause inside i just feel hopeless

First you got the call

As the rain would start to fall

You got in the car

I was in the back seat

Couldn't feel my heart

but sure could feel the heart beat

You spoke with a hurt/that look in your eyes

Yet for all that its worth, there was no surprise

First I gave it all

Your tears would start to fall

You drove me to my car

I walked down the street

Couldn't feel my heart

but sure could feel the heart beat

Don't you know there’s only pain in the end

Can't you see It's raining again
