Scream for Emotion

Scream for Emotion

A Poem by Jonathan Daniel Reese

Can you hear me?

The quiet scream that comes as a whisper

Hardly breaking the silence of the cold night this late October

Mind racing for the courage to let it out when finally

I pierce the hearts of man with my solemn shriek

growing louder and louder and louder 'til suddenly

It reaches the pinnacle; the point at which I can bear NO MORE

I've left it all for the world to hear and then...

...Silence!

A calm washes over the every molecule of my body

soothing the depths of my soul

With a new wave of emotion the rain begins to fall

A sign that the old is washed away and new life can be found

So i pull you and hold you close as all sense of reality fails against compassion,

Reaction,

Attraction...

To be or not to be...

That was never the question

But to love and be loved..to be is the true reflection to which my heart beats

Giving reason for life,

To create life,

To make time...

Can you hear me?

This heart beats,

It screams for emotion.

You certainly poured emotion into this.
Applause...
Many find it difficult to reach into those hidden desperate emotions.
You're tuned just fine.
