My Someday Lover

My Someday Lover

A Poem by Reese S. M. Datchom
"

The inspiration for this poem struck me one day, and I just had to write it! About no one in particular, but instead just about what I hope for in my future.

"

Eyes shut,

Wind blowing through my hair,

Silence.

I feel your breath

Against my arm

A whisper pressed to

Naked skin.

Shiver down my spine,

Hand in my hair,

Peaceful.

Blinking into the Sun,

Glancing

Down

At

You,

Your beautiful smile.

How my heart loves you,

Yearns for you,

Longing.

Two separate Souls

Fluttering as one,

At long last together.

Grab my hand,

Pull me,

Up,

We're dancing.

Head against your heart,

Arms around my waist,

Loving.

A breeze stirs the air,

Away you fade,

Alone I stand.

Someday I'll find you,

Into love we'll journey,

Forever.

I was trying out a slightly different style of writing than what I am used to, so please let me know if it sounds okay or not. Thanks!
