Ghost Lights

Ghost Lights

A Poem by Reese38

Am I mad

    to love a woman

         who's made of ghost lights?

The articles tell me

    I should move on

to collect every love note from her web.

I say, I'd rather stay mad

    and love a woman

made of ghost lights, rather than ghost women made of paper mache.

It’s odd how quickly you can connect with surreal, figurative posts as a reader... then it all gets a little illogical when you have to try to explain why you connected with it in the first place.

to collect every love note from her web - beautifully gothic.

You didn't over do this, it leaves one hollow and for want of a better expression, creeped out. You got the length right. The blood is never shown to be only ketchup sauce in the end.

Lovely poem- ultimately leading to the question of where madness begins and sanity and it's logic's arise... It is undeniably arguable whether love itself is pure madness. Haunting in it's perspectives; good job.

the question might be "how to love such a woman"...where to begin, and where to go from there...it won't be a dull ride

Selene is an inspiration to us all. i loved the idea of 'ghost lights' suggesting something ethereal in this, the light touch we see in her poetry. A great short poem :)

I loved the diction in this poem. The emotion is clearly expressed as well. I love the formatting of the poem.
