"My Rock Of Faith"

"My Rock Of Faith"

A Poem by Reena Rainne

It was there that I saw Him

In the midst of the sea,

Standing on a boundless rock

Calmly calling out to me.

"Surely peace and excess joy

Join to embrace you here,

So, come my beloved child

Do not hesitate nor fear."

His loving arms so stretched out

To greet me softly sweet,

To hold me near and well

In forever safe retreat.

With unshaken faith in tow

Steady prayer in heart,

I stepped on the raging sea

For my prime quest to start.

When the violent waves pressed hard

Against my rattled feet,

My steadfast eyes still I kept

On this Friend I would meet.

Though the rampent storms grew strong

My fervent faith failed not,

And I did fall in the arms

Of this Man that I sought.

While tattered, weary and worn

And much tears flowing out,

I briefly realized this Man

I certainly had no doubt.

Was heavens true King indeed

That freely gave His life,

For a world full of sinners

Drowning in depth of strife.

I sat humble in His arms

And bared my troubled soul,

Then received sweet forgiveness

Of my sins' final toll.

It was there on that Great Rock

I possessed my souls peace,

To sustain my life today

"Til lifes final decrease.

Author's Note

Reena Rainne
This was a dream that I once had quite a long time ago. I was seventeen at the time and going through some difficult times. I believe that God was telling me to keep the faith.
I am looking for feedback. :)
