Never Again

Never Again

A Poem by Patrick Hopkins

I can never go back
To the life I had before
My thoughts are out of whack,
My ethics shattered on the floor

My choices I have made
Have forced me down this path
The dangers of my trade
Have exposed me to this wrath

That is the violence we create
The monsters hide within
Waiting to release the hate
This is our true sin

Now my worlds becoming hazy
My morals have all gone
Is it me whos going crazy?
Or was this my destiny all along?
