Another love poem...

I kept the memories 

The smiles, the flowers 

The little stolen moments 

From the deepest of wells to the highest of towers 

I kept it alive 

The fumbling, the blushing 

The excitement so rare 

The hope that it was something more than just a summer fling 

I kept it burning 

The flame, the flare 

The bubbling restlessness 

The feeling so rare 

I kept the memories 

Memories of you being flirty 

Memories of you being shy 

Looking back at it all 

I know you did try 

I got to keep it all 

Your heart safely inside mine 

From this summer to next fall 

I kept the promise ring 

And that first love letter too 

I got to keep it all 

Only cuz i got to keep you

A beautifully written poem about how you keep the love alive. I also like the repetition in this poem, which in a way describe the excitement of what you derive from that love.
