An Ode to the LightsA Poem by Reddog19An ode I wrote about the light booth.
Oh, how the moon
Is reflected in Your eyes! The quietly cresting Ocean waves Are dwarfed in beauty As compared to you. With your smile Brightening all And shedding light Upon the dark.
Oh, how you mimic The heavenly stars Perfectly. The silent space Still supports you. The shadow of a forest Welcomes your warm And gentle touch. The creatures that Walk beneath you Do not know of Your great power.
Why do you keep Your power hidden From them? Why do you not show them The beauty that you contain? You are too humble To not receive credit.
Without you, There would be No humor, No mourning, No rejoicing, No funeral. There would be No smiles, No tears, No revelations, No story.
Beautifully burning, As if a joyful soul, Shining upon those Who choose to accept Your twisted cables and wires. © 2014 Reddog19 |
