A Poem by J. Randall Dodd

memory
imaginary shave--
time
with dad

away
ink stain'd
hands
missing her

longing
a knock--
is
it her?

sex
two lovers,
folded
like origami

it had the skin-gripping feel of a haiku.......
the first part (the dad part), love it..... the last part amazed me; i wrote a similar thought with the basic of origami....
a pleasant reading experience :) ~L

this is a beautiful series of poems... life cut down to its barest essentials, yet still imaginative and poignant...

Reading this is kind of sums up life well, memories, longing, sex, and what has passed, in a few short sentences you capture lots of imagary making for a rich tapestry.
