a fortunate turn of eventsA Poem by J. Randall Dodda storm approaches from the east. (a strange direction) the grey that towers above anytown looks to have mischief on its mind. the other day i got my palm read by a gypsy queen; warned me never to trust in fortune. (truer words have never been spoken) the wind used to be clear, now it's heavy grey mist; (a misty foam) mixing with oil to create the headwaters of a technicolor river in the parking lot. i laugh. the weather man said sunny skies and a high of eighty-five. my horoscope said inspiration would strike. (at least one was right)© 2010 J. Randall Dodd |
