Who am I?

Who am I?

A Poem by Tim Lawless

Just tell me.

Who am I?

Why am I here?

You seem to think you're so hard to love.

Why don't you let me be the judge of that?

Maybe it's all in my head,

But I feel the distance growing.

Every day,

A wider chasm between us.

Every day,

We talk a little less.

I'm sorry.

I don't understand.

Did your feelings change all of a sudden.

I'd understand if they did.

It's not really up to me,

And I've kept you hanging.

But we don't talk much anymore,

So I'm left wondering:

Who am I...

To you?

... now this one....

Is wonderful. Heart heartbreakingly, but wonderful.
