Let's Call It Love

Let's Call It Love

A Poem by Tim Lawless

Is it wrong that I want it so badly?

A curse like this would probably kill me.

You don't know the first thing about love,

But you do a damn good job faking it.

I put myself here, no doubting that.

Lust just has a way

Of getting under the skin.

She's a liar.

She's a w***e.

But boy, makes my blood boil.

She's a thousand miles--or maybe a world--away.

What could it hurt?

What could it possibly cost me?

Everything. And that's what it cost me.

She was only a click away.

She's a liar. She's a w***e. She's...

Someone's sister. Someone's daughter. Someone's best friend.

No one really wins.

No one really wins when love is a lie.

No one really wins when you fall in love with a lie.
