Gone So Soon

Gone So Soon

A Poem by Tim Lawless

Time is wasting, time is flying,

All is mortal, all is dying,

Still we waste all our time crying,

Still we're cheating, stealing, lying.

This life is brief, and far too short

For all our petty little plans,

I've learned that I must ask myself,

How can I be a better man?

How can we redeem our time,

In a sense already gone,

When we just write more empty lines,

And sing more empty songs.

How can we be justified,

Innocence already gone,

When we rejoice in every crime,

And celebrate our wrongs.

This life has no sooner begun,

Than it's begun to end.

Tell me I'm not the only one,

Who wants to change what I can.

:]
I love this one, and like I said before, I like seeing more of YOU in the poem.
And you're not alone... I know the feeling of wanting to change the world as much as I can.

Great job! I adore this..
