The Calm Inside the StormA Poem by Tim LawlessThis life is din and dischord. It is a raging sea. But in the clouds, an outstretched arm, Your voice calls "Follow me."
I know I can trust you, But faith is a battle fought uphill. A constant war between common sense, And the desire to do your will.
The waves are crashing all around. It seems that hope is dying, Creation shudders at the sound, The howling wind now crying.
In all life's storms, I have found peace, Where fear is overcome by grace. And now the voice that calmed the seas, Only asks for a step of faith.
