We Become Death.

We Become Death.

A Poem by Tim Lawless
"

Well, it's my first poem after the loss of all my other work. I would like my readers to guess what this is about.

"

Goodbye to sanctity.

Goodybe to the sacred.

Goodbye to life,

Goodbye to purpose.

We greet a new holocaust with open arms,

As a generation is slaughtered in the womb.

Wisdom of ages is counted nothing,

Men are only fuel for war.

The silence will never scream loud enough

To destroy what we have made.

The idols of idealism,

Dig us an early grave.

Science and Enlightenment have created this world.

And crafted nightmares that are now realities.

For we have become death,

As death consumes us.
