A Restraining Riddle

A Restraining Riddle

A Poem by Red Jack
"

Sometimes, I'm surprised by my own generosity. Here this poor boy just wanted to know who he was. Of course, he might have been happier ignorant, but his knowledge is my power, I suppose.

"

"My, oh my, you are in a pinch
Red Jack's got a deal to get you out in a synch.
Memory is precious; memory is life.
Without your memories to guide, you find yourself in strife.
I've got what you need, and you what I want
I'll help you retrieve what you forgot.
If you agree not to strike me, or tell of my faults,
I'll give you the key back to your memory vaults.
But then you will aid me, and serve in my cause
an order I give you'll act without pause.
So what will it be? Are you up for a gamble?
Or live your unlife left in shambles?"
