Riddled with Ramification

Riddled with Ramification

A Poem by Red Jack
"

Life so often takes a turn for the worse. When called upon for a solution, I did as anyone would - I offered to lend a hand. Is it my fault he was not willing to do what it takes?

"

    My, oh my, you are in a pickle.
    Now dear old Jack shall give you a riddle.
    The fate of old Rockford has never looked so bleak
    The opposition so strong, the defense just to weak.
    And what do you do when you're in a pinch?
    To Red Jack, such a thing is a synch.
    Just answer one question, but think with all your might;
    Is one life worth taking to win the fight?
    If the answer is no, you might as well leave
    And rely on the little tricks you have up your sleeve.
    But if you say yes, your chances won't be so slim;
    The cost, however, might be quite grim.
    Befuddling death proving too hard?
    Good thing you called this game's wild card.
    But this Jack has no hearts, and follows no King
    If pain is your game, I've got just the thing.
