A Riddle of Warning

A Riddle of Warning

A Poem by Red Jack
"

My associates here in Rockford knew something was wrong, but for the unlife of them couldn't put their finger on it. Luckily Jack has the answer - it's that troublesome group known as VII.

"

My, oh my, you are in a pickle.
Now dear old Jack shall give you a riddle.
When Jacy went missing, it was all awry.
And you want to know who would give this a try.
It's no stretch of the mind, I'm sure you can tell,
these are the same ones who made your unlife hell.
But not the same, this time will be.
New tricks and dangers you'll undoubtedly see.
And one scheme which is by far the most vile,
first attempted by none other than Shyal,
Could see it's completion, the ultimate trial,
the damage will go on, mile after mile.
The first side effect you and Morgan shared,
when red eyes and sharp teeth were bared.
Something inside you reacted to her doing.
The loss of another connected being.
Both you and he have this demon inside,
although one stole it and the other due to a lie.
The second reaction will not be internal.
Instead it's a horror almost eternal.
An Ancient who sleeps, sealed away with runes.
She will find a way to his hidden tomb.
And her success would bring about a new era.
This is the return of the wretched Sarah.
But here her plan still does not end,
throughout the years she's made more than one friend.
One of which, you already know.
His family carries a high death toll.
If you seek out the one with ash-covered claws,
soon you will find all you are will be gone.
Three times more than two and a third,
Now is the time they'll make their return.
