VivifiedA Poem by Sanja Renee
One day, after much loneliness, sadness, and feelings of failure, she decided to be true to herself. She felt that she owed it to herself to evade the inanimate obstacles that pervaded her mind of what others wanted her to be, or thought that she should be. She climbed out of the murky waters that were disguised as other's thoughts, and societal correctness; dispelling the worries of other's judgment's directed at her. She shook off the heavy cloak laden with opinions and self righteousness. Next, the chains that had been marauding as fear and insecurities. She shed everything but the desire to feed down trodden and malnourished souls such as her own. Then she was left with such a weightlessness, that she felt something that she had never felt before...Freedom.
