A Poem by Amber Kelleher

Round and around on a carousel

Love is not fair

Life isn’t fair as well

This is something I can’t bare

Round and around like a horse on a carousel

I hate life and life hates me

My tears could fill a well

I’m in pain if it’s not plain to see

Emotions going around like a carousel

Suffering in pain

The end shows with a bell

I won’t die in vain

Life is an emotional tell

I’m stuck on this carousel

Its an interesting metaphor that you do a good job stringing throughout the the work. The poetry is a bit 'raw' in spots, but that is OK. Sometimes plainly speaking what you mean has a stronger impact than trying to wordsmith a sentence to show your writing prowess.

Thank you for your entry.

There is truth in love, yet it is often tainted with cycles of monotony.

Great poem, well done!
