Trial

A Poem by RedPlanet
"

At trial I Wear my old worn-out shoes and ugly suit

"
At trial I
Wear my old worn-out shoes and ugly suit
Even though There's nicer in my closet
Trip over my own briefcase on purpose Just for a rise
Switch my accent halfway through questioning a witness
Say "meow" instead of "now"
Wing my speech to the jury
I do indeed lose my first trial
Tell myself it was due to all of the above factors
But deep down i know i would have lost Even if i was acting my best
