Finding Self

I fell into a hole to be lost deep within,
trapped in a maze with walls caving in.

Stripped from my being and all that i know,
it's been all that I hate but now i can't let go.

I prayed for a change and for something new,
be careful what you wish for, for me is so true.

Now stuck in this box so lonely and dark,
now I pray for a way to disembark.

without a way to escape I find a new sense of wealth,
although I lost everything i believe I've found myself.

With this new found glory the box brakes and I can fly!
then I realize I am dreaming and I open my eyes.

Author's Note

Idk I just had an idea for a poem and I just jotted this down in very few minutes in a way I thought brought my idea together.. Idk it's simple because it was such a fast write but you know what they say, nothing beats a quicky!
