Get To Sleep

Everyone needs it.

Tomorrow is a new day.
So get to sleep.

Even if you say that it is too early
and that you are not tired.
Even if you refuse with due disrespect
I will bellabor:

Get to sleep.

Even if you don't need to go to school
or have to endure another late night shift,
Even if you want to stay stuck in your mother's basement,
isolated from the society above ground, living under a rock.
You will obey:

Get to sleep.

Even if tomorrow is your last day alive,
whether it was accident, murder, or suicide.
Even if civilization collapses
and the world as we know it ends tomorrow.
Even if you rise in to heaven
or descend into hell.
You will still have to go to your room,
only to kill the lights,

And get to sleep.
