Cruelty

Cruelty seems to go so;

Unnoticed in our lives;

And the lengths to which people go;

Get longer until only one survives.

 

But the first to fall;

Is the greatest of them all;

They refuse, all in all;

To not to that level fall.

 

It is so sad that with;

All our advancements we still;

Insist on hurting our own and give;

No chance to have their own will.

 

Why hurt children?

What have they done?

To be hurt again and again?

To be locked away from the sun?

 

It does not make sense;

At least, not to me;

To kill without regrets;

To show such cruelty.
