Haiku - Abandonment

Haiku - Abandonment

A Poem by Reckless Ethereal

Everyone will leave
Maybe not today, but soon
Gone without a trace

I am not worth it
My presence is just a curse
And people see that

They run when they can
Leaving at that first true taste
Of the thing I am

They have moved away
My friends are temporary
Fleeting, just like me

Some have stayed longer
Others didn't even try
Most don't give a damn

People promise things
But they all will grow weary
Of this poor, sad soul

I do not blame them
I can't stay mad anymore
I would leave me too
