My Time To Run

My Time To Run

A Poem by Reckless Ethereal
"

Should I stay or should I go? Orignal date written: July/2016

"
Everything wills me to turn around,
Climbed up a mountain to fall back down,
Broke down the walls I built for you,
Nail the doors shut that you walked through,
Smashed the glass of the eyes to my soul,
Stopped my thoughts from taking their toll,
I'm in too deep and I'm drowning fast,
Yet I'm a ship and you're still my mast,
I must make haste before it's too late,
Lest your lies consumes my fate,
I'll turn and run if it keeps me sane,
Forget your eyes and disgrace your name,
Pretend your heart never beat with mine,
Destroy the stars that our love aligned,
You shot the bullet, I kept the shell,
You thrive in heaven while I burn in hell
