Forever a twain

Forever a twain

A Poem by Melissa
"

Relationship of night and day

"
Shyly-
coaxing,
Night nudges
Sun's rise.

Forever twained-
each bids the other on.

What's left?

Velveteen traces
of their parting hues.

An eternal ressurrection
played upon an earthly stage.

Morning warms mortal flesh-
Night cools fevered souls.

Another beautiful piece. You have talent, my friend. I appreciate the "smaller" forms of poetry, having written many a Haiku and Seynru in my day, and your work reads this way to me...images and little ideas that become infinite. Well done.
