You May Not Move Mountains, But I Love You

You May Not Move Mountains, But I Love You

A Poem by Mandy Moore

The sun ricocheted off of your golden hair

The shine in your eye bounced off your glasses frame

Your crooked teeth

And everything underneath

I hold so dear

I'll take you just how you are

Your button up

Plaid shirts with cuffs

And your t-shirts and jeans

Worn with blazers it seems

To compliment

Your scarves and caps and gloves

You mean so much to me

Your goofy smile

And eyes of green

And everything in between

I'll take you the way you are

The snow came down

And melted as it brushed

Your stubbly cheek

Your arms like limbs

All gnarled and big

Hold me tight

Your fingers sink into my skin

Your chubby face

And perfect nose

How I love you so

I'll take you the way you are

Your kindness shows through

In everything you do

Your sweetness, dear

Is everything here

Your actions speak

Louder than words

You're all passion and love

Your fire burns without

Any help

From the outside world

How I know

I love you so

I'll take you the way you are

I love you the way you are

I love

I love you just how you are
