I Hope You Find Your Love

I Hope You Find Your Love

A Poem by Mandy Moore

This plane sails like a ship

My stomach turns

My nerves are worn

All that remains of you is a note

Take this time

To think of me

The way I was

Before I leave

I loved you then

But now I don't

Someday I hope

You find your love

This ship won't be sunk by my lips

My heavy heart will bring it down

Under the overcast clouds

The shades of grey

Comfort me now

They look like my heart feels

Like a bruise

Sore and battered

On my bed

Is the note

Take this time

To think of me

The way I was

Before I leave

I loved you then

But now I don't

Someday I hope

You find your love

If it wasn't meant to be

That's fine

I'll be ok

All things heal in time

You owe me nothing

Nor I you

But what I felt seemed so true

I read it over in my head

I loved you then

But now I don't

Someday I hope

You find your love

You're all beauty and lies

No truth or honesty

My blood runs cold and red

Take this time

To think of me

The way I was

Before I leave

I loved you then

But now I don't

Someday I hope

You find your love

I loved you then

But now I don't

Someday I hope

You find your love

Someday I hope

You find your love

Someday I hope

You find your love
