A visit

Your hand bushes my face

And my eyes open wide.

Pure disbelief

you are by my side.

 

And then we fall on the bed,

No longer aware.

The world outside fell away.

And i really didnt care.

 

And there we made love,

perfectly intwined.

You are my soul mate,

An everlasting bined.

 

It was not two people trying to fit,

but two people combined.

And this will be us forever.

For the rest of time.

 

I can not say it does not hurt.

Without you i ache to cry.

But our moments together are such a natural high.

 

So i remeber these moments,

As i always do.

With a thought that makes me smile.

I love this poem. It is so sweet and you paint such a lovely picture. I can really relate to this piece from my love as well. It just makes me feel so happy and high on love when I read poems like this. It's like I always try to find the right words to express how I feel and you tell them perfectly. I especially love the lines "I can not say it does not hurt. Without you I ache to cry. But our moments together are such a natural high". When my boyfriend was diagnosed with Leukemia there were many days and nights we could not be together, and there was always the cloud of fear hanging over me that he might not make it through and we would never be together. Love will always bring pain, but it always brings the most beautiful highs as well. Thank you for this poem.
