Sometimes

I'll sit with friends who listen to irrelevant music

just because I feel sorry for them,

When instead I could be spending time

with a girl with grey skin and translucent eyes

who speaks nonsense at the top of her voice;

swears there is always truth behind a lie,

and tells me she's in love.

I've never stopped to ask myself why...

Then again its probably better not to know?

On reflection, I realise...

its songs, like these, that no one remembers.

Its not that they can't relate to them,

but because they just don't understand.

- and its songs like these that I love.

[Poetic Beauty]

Music and poetry are strong ways to show who you are and say what you feel. I love this poem. I listen to all different genres of music and to be honest sometimes I like it not for the word but of the beat. You made a great point in this poem
