Encircled

Encircled

A Poem by Bec

Hordes of wild, ferocious beasts

Charging and attacking

Primed to pounce

Destruction and damage

That's here all because

Of the wind and the rain

By the worst that nature has to offer

I have been encircled

Screams of agony

And shrieks of pain

From the mouths of people

With bruises and crimson scars

I can hear them all around me

I have been encircled

Fists of fury

And fiery rage

Have made their mark

On everyone around me

People are standing, frozen, immobile

In shock from the horrors that they have just seen

I see them everywhere

I have been encircled

Floods of tears

And untold despair

Make their way around

And capture my mind

I imagine myself

Being swept away

Into oblivion

By hordes, fists, screams and floods

I have been encircled

By floods, screams, fists and hordes

I have been
